Less than 30 gallons of hydraulic fluid spilled from a Republic Services Trash Track onto the roadway. The spill resulted from a broken hydraulic line on the rear of the vehicle and the vehicle traveled approximately 500 feet before seeing the spill and immediately stopping. The driver and Millville Fire Company contained the spill on the roadway. Clean up was conducted by DNREC 4, DELDOT, and Lewis Environmental Services. |

Move victim to fresh air. Call emergency medical care. Apply artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Administer oxygen if breathing is difficult. Remove and isolate contaminated clothing and shoes. In case of contact with substance, immediately flush skin or eyes with running water for at least 20 minutes. Wash skin with soap and water. Keep victim warm and quiet. Effects of exposure (inhalation, ingestion or skin contact) to substance may be delayed.
