Additional Information
|
Tyler Fink from the Sussex County Lift Station advised that approximately 1,500 gallons of sewage discharged from the station due a malfunction with the air release valve. Workers pumped down the station and shut off the valve in order to replace the malfunctioning piece. Fink advised that most of the discharge pooled up around the station with some of the discharge enter the ground. Fink also advised that a high estimate of 500 gallons entered the canal. Employees cleaned the area with a vac truck and laid down lye. |
